WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT IBERIAN HORSES

Andalusian and Portugese horses are "late bloomers", they are full-grown at the age of six years. Often they are only broken in after their fourth birthday. Some of them do still look like a big foal at the age of five.
Their character is beyond comparison. Courage, intelligence, willingness to learn, a keen perception, a good memory and strong nerves are just a few of these horses' characteristics.
Their appearance is proud and elegant, they are sensitive horses that react to very subtle aids by their riders.
They are equally well suited for dressage, leisure and show riding. Small jumps are no problem for them and they are great cross country horses. Their courage makes them very safe and hard to unsettle.This is the reason for their being used more and more for therapeutic riding. They are my dream horses!
Castration:
Iberian stallions are known for their good behaviour. But, since not all stables do accept stallions we provide the service to have your horse gelded in a clinic before delivery. Even fully grown-up stallions can be gelded and need about two months to change their attitude.

BROOD MARES / MARES

For breeders we usually have interesting brood mares, some of them of excellent origin.

Quizas RMC

If you want to start breeding or if you just want to buy a very good mare for dressage work, Quizas is the ideal horse for you. She is truly very very beautiful and has superb movements for to become a dressage crack. She is currently broken in gently and will soon discover cross country hacks.

Quisquillosa RMC
Approved PRE mare, born 14.04.2004, 1.63 m, still growing
This wonderful mare with great length of stride is well broken in and already superbly apt for cross country riding. She has a very reliable character and would be suitable for less confident riders. Similarly she is suitable for breeding as she has very good pedigree papers and a rare bay roan color.
P.S.: The suitable stallion for her would be Relampago.

Petula
Lusitano mare of Veigha bloodline with pedigree papers, born 20.10.2003
This slim and pretty mare has very beautiful gaits. She is currently being broken in gently by ourselves and is rather suited for a delicate person. Petula has a good character and can be easily loaded and shod.

Zafra
This wonderful mare has beautyfully floating gaits and a rare and coveted dun colour. She was broken in gently by ourselves, shows a lot of promise and cooperation and has already acompanied us on some cross country rides

We can procure mares with or without pedigree papers, raw or broken in, in different price ranges.

Panameno

Panamero has a superbly endearing look, mirroring his character. Still a big baby and sometimes a little clumsy he is always willing and anticipating the rider's wishes. His body is very harmonious and he has wonderful gaits.

This magnificent young stallion is still a big baby. He's trying to do everything he is asked. He loves to be cuddled by the person he trusts and he is very comfortable under the saddle.

Fer Jerarquico
PRE stallion, born 03.03.2005, 1.58 m, still growing
This young stallion is always ready for a joke, but in a positive way. At the moent he is broken in gently and is safe in all gaits. Soon he will discover cross country rides. He is a horse with rather baroque oriigins, in style close to the original Spanish horse.

Auris is an imposing stallion, but with a superb character. He is extremely comfortable to ride and takes up every task with respect and joy.

Faru-Cen

Kefren is an extremely elegant horse with very light gaits and great length of stride. He has started well in dreassage work (shoulder-in, trot extension, lateral movements). He has also some cross country experience. Kefren is a very comfortable horse and offers a lot of fun while drawing a lot of attention.

This stallion has lots of energy and temperament, but is easy to rein. Always willing, he is very eager to work in an easy and uncomplicated way. On cross country rides he is very safe and wll behaved. His coppery colour and his beautiful mane are real eyecatchers.

Sold by order: Properly trained, spirited Lipizzan gelding with a lot of character. Very pleasant to ride due to his lithe movements, trot and gallop with lots of charisma. Pluto Patrizia has an imposing appearance and is only suited for expert riders. Education state: Training category m with good collection, lateral movements and flying changes.

Tejano
born in 2003, approved stallion, 1.63 m
Tejano has a very good pedigree and bloodline and stems from a very noble breed (Granda). He is approved and captivates with his obedience and good education. His gaits are extraordinary, he does good transitions and is well balanced in all three gaits. Tejano is already experienced in cross country hacks.

Cazurro

A very proud horse with lots of Spanish charm, Cazurro has a very beautiful Spanish step. He has a lively temper but is easy to control. Besides he has great lenghts of stride and is absolutely safe for cross country riding.

Hampon VI

A pretty and friendly horse, Hampon VI has just been broken in gently by us. He is the half brother of Hampon X, very sensitive and respectful. He always tries to do everything correctly and has a lot of trust for his rider. A horse to enjoy!

Paladio is a very classical horse, but with all the charm, elegance, the force and strong nerves of the Luistano. You really want to get on his back and start working because you can feel that this horse deserves to be trained up to the haute école.

Larios
Larios is an andalusian gelding trained to perform all kinds of circus tricks but also well trained in classical dressage. He knows all lateral movements, flying change of leg, pirouette at a canter, and passage. He is very willing and absolutely safe for cross country rides. A very pleasurable horse, guaranteed to capture your heart.

Heroi
My personal horse, trained by myself in classic dressage (not for sale). We offer equestrian shows with dressage and voltige.

Capricho
Cremello colt, born on April 1st 2006.
Capricho is unique with his cream colored robe and a white mane and blue eyes. This color is extremely rare in Andalusian horses.
Capricho is a very noble horse, although he has no pedigree papers.

Lusitano
This pretty lusitano filly without pedigree papers was born in June 2005. The father is a Lusitano stallion with pedigree papers, the mother a pure lusitano mare without papers. A beautiful and promising filly with many qualities.

These two black stallions are half-brothers (same father). They would be well suited as a team horses and could be broken in for harnessing if requested.

Mr Eyed Jack Piper
Quarter Horse gelding, born 1998, 1.53 m
Jack is bay Quarter Horse well trained in traditional american horsework like cattle pening; team pening etc. This horse mentally strongl, powerful, a good porter and has a strong personality. Jack is also at ease on cross country rides, he regularly takes part in mountain hikes.

PRICES

During their stay at our stables, the prices of our horses may vary. Why is that? The better we get to know the horses, working with them every day, the more we find out about their qualities and little weaknesses. Our horses mean a lot to us. Therefore we don't want to treat them as merchandise. For this reason, we conciously omit prices for the individual horses on this page. Please feel free to inquire about any horse that interests you by filling out the form that appears when you click on it's picture. We will happily answer any of your questions.

The following prices will give you an indication of the value of our iberian horses:
A green or broken in horse starts at 8 000 Euros with no pedegree papers or at 10 000 Euros with papers .
A trained horse without papers starts at 10 000, with papers at 11 500 Euros.
Starting at 12 000 Euros you will find well trained horses with or without papers, horses of special colour (Isabelle, black etc.), specially tall horses (height at withers more than 1.60 m) or horses for breeding.
We can deliver the horse to destinations in Europe. Please inquire about our transport fees and customs' fees for export to Switzerland.
